Sign on to the English Works Campaign

agrees to support and participate in the English Works Campaign.
As a signatory to English Works, our organization agrees to be listed on English Works materials and will have a seat on the Campaign Committee.
We enter into this voluntary agreement with English Works in a spirit of partnership and collaboration, and with a vision of a Commonwealth that provides all residents with a pathway to economic self-sufficiency; ensures a stable, skilled workforce for Massachusetts businesses today and in the future; and integrates immigrants into the fabric of our economy, communities and shared civic life.


Businesses

Learn how you can connect your employees with English language classes:

  • Connect with community-based organizations, community colleges and others who can help with a needs analysis, program design, customized curriculum development and offering classes.
  • Work with the union representing your employees to develop educational opportunities, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.
  • Partner with an ESOL provider to offer classes customized to your business.
  • Apply for public dollars (sources listed below) to help support ESOL classes.
  • Partner with other nearby, similar businesses to pool resources and to create an ESOL program customized to your industry.
  • Refer your employees to local ESOL programs. Some programs offer a work-related curriculum.
  • Utilize your company’s tuition reimbursement or remittance policy to support English language training.
